A spokesperson for the club said: “Huge thanks to Stephen Rimmer LLP who have very generously donated much needed funds to the Bexhill Surf Lifesaving Club so that we can buy necessary equipment to allow these dedicated youngsters the chance to make a real difference, keep themselves and others safe in the water and to come together and have a whole lot of fun.

“Following a number of very sad events this summer at local beaches it has become even more prominent that vital that lifesaving and water safety skills must be taught and passed on to as many young people as possible.

“We would love to get Bexhill’s businesses and local community behind this fantastic club.

“Come on down to see us on Sunday’s at the Sovereign Light Cafe from 12-1 we will be training in the sea until December.
