Door-to-door bus

A NEW door-to-door bus service looks set to make light work of weekly shopping for elderly and disabled residents in the Wealden area.

Lewes Community Transport, along with East Sussex County Council and the Countryside Agency, has started a Dial a Ride Service.

The bus will collect people from their homes and deliver them to Uckfield or further afield if requested. Passengers are then picked up two hours later and delivered back to their front gate.

On Thursdays, it operates from Halland, East Hoathly, Laughton, Whitesmith and surrounding area.
