Double stabbing in St Leonards

A man has been airlifted to hospital following a double stabbing in St Leonards this lunchtime (Monday, December 7).

Police were called to Church Road just after 1pm.

One man has been flown to the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton, with life threatening injuries and another man has been taken by ambulance to the same hospital.

Police believe there may be a third victim and are currently carrying out searches along the beach area of St Leonards and Bexhill.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is currently in custody.

Sussex Police say there are no further details available at this time.
