Driver suffers serious injuries in Lewes collision

Sussex Police are appealing for witnesses to an accident on the outskirts of Lewes.

Officers were called to the A27 westbound near the Ashcombe Roundabout at 6.10am on Wednesday (November 21) after a silver Renault Clio left the road and collided with trees.

The driver, a man in his 50s, suffered serious injuries and was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.
