Drivers warned after mains burst in Broadbridge Heath

Drivers are being warned to take care after a water main burst in Broadbridge Heath this morning, January 23, leaving the road ‘very icy.’

The main burst close to sewer works on the A24 Horsham Bypass Northbound near Broadbridge Heath.

A spokesperson for West Sussex Highways said: “A24 Horsham Bypass Northbound, Broadbridge Heath near sewer works.

“Burst Water Main. Take care road very icy. We have team out to grit.”

Drivers have also been warned of icy roads in Horsham.

Water on the junction between Foundary Lane and Foundry Close turned to ice earlier this morning causing problems for road users.

A team from West Sussex Highways has been sent out to grit the area.
