Drivers warned to lock their cars after theft in Ford

DRIVERS are being warned to secure their cars when parked up after opportunist thieves stole a hand bang from an unlocked car.

The incident took place at the Ford Industrial Estate, at about 11.30am on Saturday, January 11.

A person had parked on the estate to load up their vehicle.

While there, thieves entered the car and snatched a large, square, red handbag containing and HTC mobile phone and wallet.

Police are now warning all people to ensure their valuables are securely locked away and are not on display.

Anyone with information about the crime can call police on 101, quoting reference 0739 of 11/01/14.
