Drug dealer jailed

A drug dealer has been jailed after being caught outside a Bognor Regis club.

Donovan Liburd, 20, was sentenced to 30 months in jail for possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.

He was challenged by doormen at Ground Zero in Sudley Road almost two years ago and found to have cocaine and heroin hidden in a cigarette box.

Police were called and a further search of Liburd at the town's police station found further quantities of Class A drugs and almost 1,000 in cash.

Liburd, of Chinbrook Road, Grove Park, London, initially gave a false name and address, but police checks revealed his true identity.

He was charged with being in possession of Class A drugs with a street value of 1,045. He was also carrying 910.52 in cash.

A Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 hearing on the day he was sentenced also agreed he had benefited by 1,393.52 from drug matters.

He received a confiscation order taking 910.52 away from him which was presumed to have come from previous drug sales before he was stopped.

Liburd will serve his sentence concurrently with a 30-month sentence which he received at Woolwich Crown Court in London last year for robbery elsewhere in the UK.
