E-fit released following attempted Bognor Regis Robbery

Sussex Police detectives have released an e-fit of a man they would like to speak to in connection with an attempted robbery in Bognor Regis.

The victim, a 57-year-old local man, was waiting for a taxi in Durban Road, just before 10.20pm on Saturday, March 3, when the suspect approached, produced a knife and demanded his wallet.

He left empty-handed and got into a small silver hatchback car after the victim ran off.

Detective constable Pippa Hannard said: “We hope that by releasing the e-fit someone will recognise the suspect and call police with his identity.

“The man we are looking for is described as white, in his mid 20s, and of slim build. He was wearing dark tracksuit bottoms or jeans, a dark hooded top with the hood down, a dark blue beanie hat and wore as scarf round his neck.

“Anyone who was in the area on Saturday, March 3 and who saw this man is asked to contact us via 101 quoting serial 1639 of that date.
