Firefighters used two hose reels and two breathing apparatus to tackle the fire.

The fire was accidental.

Then at 5.40am, a call came in from Ashford Road in Eastbourne, where a flat was ‘badly effected’ by flooding.

Crews made their way to the scene and isolated the electrics, and then notified the landlord.

The firefighters were also called out to bin fires, a person stuck in a lift, and even to a ring removal overnight.
