Eastbourne man charged with rape

An Eastbourne man has been charged with rape.

Police say Javon Raffington-Paul, 20, of St Leonards Road, has been charged with rape of a woman on October 27 in East Street, Brighton.

He has been remanded in custody to await trial, said a spokesperson for Sussex Police.
