EASTENDERS star John Altman, best known as television villain Nasty Nick Cotton, was at Drusillas Park in Alfriston this week, taking time out from his gruelling schedule of pantomime rehearsals.
The popular actor and singer is set to star in this year’s production of Robin Hood at the Devonshire Park Theatre, playing the infamous Sherriff of Nottingham.
In a short break from rehearsals, John visited the award-winning zoo in order to meet some of the Park’s resident heroes as well as some of its more slippery characters too!
Waiting in the wings to greet John, Lace the pine snake was the first to share centre stage.
The Merry Band then moved on to the bat enclosure before swapping notes with Astrid the donkey.
John then proceeded on a mini-tour of the Park before being outlawed back to the theatre to continue with rehearsals.
Based on the much-loved English folk tale Robin Hood, Eastbourne’s pantomime is an action packed extravaganza with stunning costumes, fantastic live music and the usual comedy mayhem you would expect.
The pantomime will run until 15 January 2012.
