Easter fun at Tilling Green

Around 200 people enjoyed Tilling Green Residents Association’s annual Easter Event

This year various local youth groups were invited to have a free table so they could raise funds for their group.

Rye Scouts had a table sale and also a guess the dog’s date of birth competition.

Tilling Green Community Friends and their young helpers were selling home made cakes and also had a guess the number of eggs in a jar competition.

Rye Pre-School Playgroup had a playing card tombola while Rye Girl Guides held a table sale.

Rye Sea Cadets and Rother Responders both had information tables and TGRA ran an adults and kids tombola which helped pay for the hire of the hall.

Dan Lake, from the Residents Association, said: “Rye Dance Centre came along with some of there younger performers ages from 6 years to 12 years old. The children were Jessica Beales, Emma Ferguson, Freya Hollister, Ellie Chapman, Jessica Oliver, Charlotte Chapman, Ashleigh Harris, Charlotte Foster and Stefinie Lee.

“The dancers did a 20 minute display which was enjoyed by everyone in attendance.

“There was a face painting table, a kids corner where kids could design a pretend egg and draw pictures and there was even a special appearance from the Easter Bunny who was handing out free Cadburys Crème Eggs and Haribo sweets to the children.
