Easter parade: time to reflect

A leading religious figure in Bognor Regis has urged residents to absorb the Easter message.

Christians are preparing to parade through the town tomorrow morning (Friday, April 10) for their annual Walk of Witness as a highlight of the important weekend.

Lt Peter Clark, the chairman of Churches Together in Bognor Regis, said the occasion was a time to reflect and marvel at what Jesus allowed himself to go through so everyone else could find salvation through the power of God.

"If we are to make a difference in this world, we have to be different and not be afraid to stand out.

"Again this year, we will have the opportunity to be able to witness to the fact that Jesus died for all people because we believe he died for us," he explained.

The Walk of Witness at 10am from Bognor Regis Methodist Church will be joined by Holy Week activities at churches around the town. Details can be seen on www.bognortoday.co.uk.

Lt Clark added: "Good Friday would be pointless if it were not for Easter morning where we celebrate the risen Lord.
