Fifty Bishop Bell students and five members of staff flew to Italy during half-term for an RE study tour of Rome and Florence.

Students immersed themselves in Italian culture, history and spirituality by making visits to various historical buildings and monuments, not least the Vatican City and the Colosseum.

Mrs Preston, who led the group, said, “It was fantastic to take so many students to one of the most awe-inspiring destinations in the world.

“Seeing them experience places that have such massive cultural significance was hugely rewarding.

“I would like to thank the exceptional staff team who led alongside me and of course the wonderful students who made it so worth all the preparation.”
