A walk which helps children discover wildlife has been put together with help from the High Weald Partnership.
Broad Oak Community Primary School’s Welly Walk is one of a series of welly walks launched in the area by the partnership.
Workshops and testing walk options meant Year 4 and 5 pupils learned to use maps and discovered more about the environment.
The 5.3km circular walk starts and ends at the school gate and will make it easier to run outdoor learning activities inspired by local history and wildlife.
Year 5/6 teacher Michael Tooze said: “We are thankful for being given the opportunity to get out into the countryside and develop our Welly Walk. We are looking forward to using the walk with all our children as this is a great resource for Broad Oak primary school and the local community.”
