Officers investigating the attack have released a 17-year-old man without charge following his arrest on Tuesday, July 27, and are re-appealing for witnesses and information.

When she refused, he grabbed her and attacked her on a nearby bench.

The man has been described as being of Asian appearance, about 19 years of age, around 5ft 8ins tall and of proportionate build.

He had short, dark hair which was curly on top and swept behind his ears.

He was wearing black jogging bottoms, a turquoise polo shirt and black flip flops with yellow flecks.

Detective Sergeant Tracy Edwards, who is investigating, said: "The victim has compiled this e-fit of her attacker and we hope that it may jog someone's memory.

"If anyone saw someone matching this description in the Beach Crescent area before the incident then we would like to hear from them, together with anyone who may have seen or heard anything else suspicious at around 9.40pm.

"Officers are still carrying out enquiries in the area to try and trace the offender and we need the help of the public.

"I would stress once again that if anyone has any information, no matter how small it may seem, then please pick up the phone and call us on 0845 60 70 999, quoting serial 157 of 20 July, Operation Bayport."
