Egg and spoon race and obstacles as youngsters have fun

It was child's play when a dozen childminders around Bognor Regis got together outdoors.

They brought along some 25 youngsters, some play equipment and some medals. The result was an afternoon of fun for the pre-school-aged children.

The organised activities on King George V playing field in Felpham included an obstacle race and an egg and spoon race. But there were plenty of chances for casual fun as well.

The get-together was organised by Gaby Sartin to coincide with a national promotion of childminders.

She said: "It was great fun and the weather was perfect."
