Eight car collision on A27
MOTORISTS faced rush-hour chaos after an EIGHT CAR collision near the Southwick Tunnel.
Nobody was hurt in the accident, which happened about half a mile from the tunnel on the eastbound carriageway, shortly after 5pm on Tuesday.
Police closed the tunnel and diverted all eastbound traffic onto the A270 Holmbush Roundabout.
Rat-running through Shoreham caused traffic problems with drivers coming off the flyover and then queuing to join the A283.
The road remained closed into the night and was opened before 10pm.
