An election has been called in Polegate after former Cllr Joe O’Riordan stepped down from his post at the town council last month.

Mr O’Riordan resigned from Polegate Town Council after claiming he was ‘fed up’ with infighting by members who were not ‘working for the good of the town’.

He joined the council as a Polegate Residents’ Association member two years ago.

The town council has now been informed an election has been called to fill the position.

The election is due to take place on September 26. For more information and to find out how to vote or stand visit http://www.polegate-tc.co.uk/
