Eleven homes still have black and white TV licences in Crawley

Only 11,550 homes have a black and white TV licence '“ and 11 of them are in Crawley. The figures '“ a 12 per cent drop '“ were published by TV Licensing.

Iain Logie Baird, of the National Media Museum – and grandson of TV inventor John Logie Baird, said: “Despite over 25 million people opting for a colour TV Licence in the UK, it may be some time before the black and white television disappears completely from our living rooms.”
