Embroiderers Guild, East Sussex

It was good to see so many familiar faces at our New Year Tea Party last month and judging by the laughter and chatting everyone had a great time.

During the morning session of our February meeting we were privileged to have Marion Cantrell give the first of three Master Classes covering goldwork techniques. If you missed this first one Marion will be at the Group demonstrating further techniques during the Stitch and Chat Sessions on April 20th and June 15, 11.00 am - 11.30 am, so make a note in your diary.

On Saturday March 2nd our branch held a one day workshop with Wendy Dolan entitled “Architectural Textures”. We used doors, windows or arches as our inspiration and layers of coloured fabrics and machine embroidery to create a picture. We all had a thoroughly enjoyable day which passed far to quickly, but now have more skills to work with.
