Emergency services were called to reports of the collision which took place in Marshall Road at 10.30am on Monday, May 19.
Sussex Police confirmed that the driver of one of the vehicles was hospitalised with ‘serious injuries’.
The road was closed with traffic diverted while services recovered vehicles and cleared the road.
