Emergency services and air ambulance called to Lancing

POLICE, paramedics and the air ambulance were called to Lancing this morning (Friday, May 17) after it was reported a man had fallen from scaffolding.

The emergency services went to Crabtree Lane at 11.33am after was a man was reported lying on the pavement injured.

He has since been taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital, in Brighton, for assessment of a back injury.

A Sussex Police spokesman said initial reports the man had fallen three storeys from scaffolding on a building had “not been substantiated”.

The incident is not being treated as suspicious.
