By the end of this week, he will have clocked up 3,935 miles in the 336 days of his amazing feat since he set off from the bandstand on January 1.

He has undertaken his tremendous effort in aid of the Climb charity for children with metabolic diseases. Striding out day after day on his WalkGB4Climb has so far seen him raise more than 19,300 for the charity's work.

Mr Snook (72) will be greeted by his supporters at the bandstand and then officially welcomed back to Bognor at a civic reception at the Royal Norfolk Hotel.

Bognor Regis town mayor Cllr Jennifer Gillibrand, the town's MP Nick Gibb and Arun District Council chairman Cllr Ashvin Patel will join Climb trustees and staff in congratulating him.
