Citizens Advice advisors will be in the shopping centre throughout the day to offer free guidance on how to save money on their bills by switching suppliers or using less energy.

The event is being held as part of Big Energy Saving Week - a national campaign run by Citizens Advice, the Energy Saving Trust and the Department of Energy and Climate Change to help people cut their fuel bills and get the financial support they need.

Nicola Phillips, money advice manager at Citizens Advice 1066, said, “People can potentially save hundreds of pounds on their bills by making small lifestyle changes, installing energy saving measures, by choosing a better tariff or switching supplier.

“But working through the different options can be a minefield. Our advisers can help people to better understand the options and find the best solution for them.”

The stand in the Arndale Centre will also be giving information about Citizen Advice’s Pension Wise Service. More information about the event is available at www.citizensadvice1066.co.uk
