English Country Garden Fundraiser
THE big-hearted owners of Merriments Gardens at Hurst Green helped give a welcome boost to a local branch of a cancer charity.
Evelyn Goodsell, a committee member of Macmillan Cancer Support, Tonbridge Branch, said: “On behalf of the committee of Macmillan Cancer Support-Tonbridge Branch, I should like to thank all who visited Merriments Gardens on Thursday September 12.
“Merriments generously gave all the proceeds from entry to the gardens, on that day, to this very worthy charity, and the wonderful amount of £535 was raised. “A big ‘thank you’ is due to Merriments for giving us the opportunity to fund-raise in their beautiful gardens.”
