ENJOY A COMPOCHINO!

Everybody is invited to a 'Compochino Morning' at the Community Recycling Centre in North Street, Lewes on Saturday (15 October).

The event, organised by Lewes District Council, will start at 9am until 1pm and will combine a caffeine boost with an array of useful information about composting and recycling.

The Compochino Morning will see a compost bin sale, with bins offered at a discounted price of 12.

A free cup of coffee for every purchase will be an added bonus. Composting advice and information will also be available.

Councillor Sarah Osborne, Lewes District Council Lead Member for the Environment, said: "Compost bins make ideal Christmas presents and the sale this Saturday is a great opportunity to purchase one '“ or more! The bins on offer can compost a vast amount of material, including fruit and vegetable scraps, coffee grounds, tea bags, crushed egg shells, shredded paper and cardboard. We hope that people will come to the Compochino morning, enjoy it and take valuable information away with them."
