Enjoying Ofsted success

The latest report rated the pre-school as outstanding in several respects including staff's use of resources available, and interaction with parents and carers.

Chairperson Liz Walker commented: "As Chairman of the pre-school I am delighted with the Ofsted Report. I am immensely proud of the dedicated staff team led by Kath Boyd, who all work tirelessly to ensure the children of our pre-school are prepared for school in a caring and fun environment.

"But also as a mother of three children, who have all attended the pre-school, I am just so happy that the pre-school has had the recognition it deserves.

"The inspection happened to take place on the day of our Nativity play and I am very proud of all the children whose singing and acting was superb! We hold other events throughout the year from a fund raising lunch to mini sports day and fairs. These events are always well supported by committee members, parents, grandparents and the local community which gives a real 'family' feel to the pre-school and provide the pre-school with extra resources.

"The Management Committee and staff are committed to the development and long term security of the pre-school and look forward to the future."
