The Seahaven Business Awards 2013 are open for entries in a scheme which is designed to give the local economy a lift.
On the judging panel will be MP Norman Baker, Newhaven Chamber of Commerce president, Newhaven’s mayor and other judges from the Seahaven area.
Results will be announced at a Gala Dinner on Friday May 10 at Woody’s Bar and Grill at Peacehaven Golf Club.
President of Newhaven Chamber of Commerce Annie said: “The Seahaven Business Awards provide an opportunity for businesses in the Seahaven area to gain special recognition from their peers.
“Being nominated and then winning an award sends out the message that your firm is good to do business with and that this particular company enjoys a status and recognition within the business community.
“It is also very reassuring for both existing and new customers.”
The awards recognise businesses which put customer service first, show commitment to staff, take pride in being part of the community and exhibit drive to succeed.
Entrants may come from BN9, BN25, of BN10 postcode areas.
