East Preston beach clean a huge hit
VILLAGERS got their hands mucky in a determined effort to clean up East Preston's beach on Sunday (May 26).
About 75 people turned up to take part in the event, which saw 45 bags filled with litter and dumped rubbish, all collected over just two hours.
The afternoon was organised by East Preston Parish Council and was blessed with sunshine and blue skies.
Among the items retrieved during the beach-clean were plastic rubbish, paper and the lid of a chest freezer.
The council thanked all who took part or helped to promote the event.
