Is it spring, summer or winter? The weather seems unable to make up its mind.

After the wettest May for many years, June has at least started on the right track, but there are no guarantees just yet.

April was, of course, warmer than it has any right to be and we are in a period of correction, as our unique maritime climate is influenced by what goes on over the Atlantic.

I cannot believe how well we judged the grass silaqge making two weeks ago; there has not been more than a day or two of good weather at a time since.

This seems to be the one constant in our weather pattern every year, and that is changeable and difficult conditions at silage time. I understand that there are still many clamps to filll and as time goes on, quality is deteriorating fast.
