BACK to summer, as temperatures return to where they should be in June. The ground is drying out fast but more rain is possible as the heavy downpours sweeping the east coast at the end of last week demonstrated.

Our sileage aftermaths are growing very well and I can see that all being well there will be another high quality cut of grass in about three weeks.

We are applying dirty water each week to the area that dries out most and it is having the desired effect.

Talking to dairy farmers throughout the country, it seems that milk production has dropped considerably in May due to the wet weather and is not recovering.
