Farm Diary by Gwyn Jones

Wet and windy weather makes up for the dry spell in October, but it's still quite warm for November. When it's not raining, slight frosts in the morning quickly make way for glorious sunshine, bringing out the best of autumn colours.

The cows seem particularly happy in their beds as the wind and rain lashes outside, rushing back in after milking, grabbing some breakfast before settling down in their snug beds.

Intakes are going up now as the colder weather sharpens appetite, and as most cows are a month or two after calving, they eat more.
