Farm Diary by Gwyn Jones

The drizzle weather prevents us from turning out the cows, not that we have much in the way of grass just yet, but I hope to have them out by day at the end of the week.

Tillington, on the other hand, is enjoying the wet weather and is now growing well. As usual on the sandy soil, there are many weeds also enjoying the conditions, but 20 acres of ragwort and dock will be enjoying it a lot less now that we have sprayed.

It is very difficult to time this early spray for ragwort as it cannot be grazed for at least two weeks.
