Former castle owners put their £2.25 million home up for sale

The £2.25 million luxury home - complete with indoor swimming pool complex - is sited in Slindon, a village said to be the birthplace of cricket.
The property - Hazelgrove - is in fact one of only a handful of private houses in the village where the majority are owned by the National Trust which was gifted the 1,400 hectare Slindon Estate in the 1920s.

Hide AdMartin and Joy Cummings are selling their village property - Hazelgrove - to move to France to join their son Clive in running a Michelin-starred country house hotel that has been converted from a 12th century Cistercian abbey.
Mr and Mrs Cummings sold Amberley Castle, a highly-regarded luxury hotel, in 2007. Throughout its 1,000-year history the castle has accommodated a string of royals including Henry VIII, Elizabeth I and our own Queen.
It was first bought by Mr and Mrs Cummings in 1988 who won the backing of villagers to convert it into a hotel.
Now the couple are turning their attention to the converted abbey hotel in Burgundy - the Abbaye de la Bussiere - while selling their Slindon home.
