Gwyn Jones and Farm Diary

April showers, short and sweet (and sometimes heavy!) are doing their best, but the cold wind in herited from March is holding back growth.

This is typical of Spril though, bright warm sunshine one minute, very cold the next; dangerous weather ( don't remove any clothing).

Our in-calf heifers are enjoying the grass at Tillington and are now out day and night, but still fed some silage and concentrates in order to slow down the rotation. If we go around too quickly, there will be no grass when we return to the first paddock again.
