After a surprise start to lambing, that is two ewes lambed before the official starter gun had been fired,the sheep have settled in to producing a steady stream of pairs, singles and triplets.

As the weather has been so cold and wet, none of the lambs has gone outside yet. They are still under cover in the big shed.

In the autumn, a friend gave John a trailer load of old wooden pallets. John first used them for making himself a fishing hut down by the pond, but since then has been knocking out stack bars for lamb pens.
