Mrs Downs Diary September 29

I have been making sure that when I take John his drinkings, late afternoon that I am dressed head to toe in assault-proof clothing. Not to resist John you understand, but to make sure that I am not scratched to pieces searching out the last of the brambles for our delectable bramble whisky.

The recipe? I bottle of whisky to a pound of sugar and a pound of brambles. A wine making jar takes four of everything and the whole caboodle needs a good shake for the first week to dissolve the sugar, and then leaving alone for about six weeks. Decant, strain, bottle, drink and try to dispose of the empty bottles surreptiously. I'm sure the bin men have us down as alcoholics.
