Pavement parking concern raised by Friends of Lewes

The Friends of Lewes is concerned about the amount of pavement parking in the county town.

The Civic Society said that not only does it impede the passage of pedestrians but also in many cases it has led to the breaking up of the pavement surface.

The society was consulted by East Sussex County Council on which roads it would like to see pavement parking banned.

As a result, it has put forward the upper end of the High Street, Fisher Street, Station Street and Southover High Street.
