DIARY DATE: Put Saturday June 25 in your diary, that is the date for the Big Etchingham Day at the Seaside, which will combine all the best of the annual Fete and the Flower and Dog Show on the same day. More details here nearer the date, but if you are planning to enter photographs in the photo section of the Flower Show, these are the categories ‘Blue’ - ‘Ships, boats and things that float’ - ‘I saw it at the seaside’ - ‘Creatures of Etchingham (insects to homo sapiens)’, so get snapping.

ALLOTMENTS: Etchingham does not have any allotments for keen gardeners in the village. Ewhurst Parish Allotments Association have informed us that they have a couple of vacant plots available for rent if anyone in the village is interested. The plots are located at Knowle Corner, Lorndine Lane, Ewhurst. The manageable plots measure approx. 42 feet by 22 feet, each has a shed and water harvesting equipment. If you are interested in possibly renting one of the plots contact Jacqui Hyett 01580 830576 [email protected] .

It has now come to my notice that there are two vacant allotment plots in Hurst Green, if interested contact Maureen Harniman on 01580 860251
