A showcase for activities available to young people in Seaford aged 11-18 will be staged at Seaford Baptist Church on Saturday March 2.
It is being organised by local community workers Carolyn Lambert and Vicky Martin to counteract the impression that there is not enough for young people to do in the town.
They are also appealing for young people who would like to volunteer on the day or who would like to put on a short performance.
Carolyn and Vicky said: “As two people who are active in the local community, we often hear that there is not enough on offer for young people in Seaford.
“We believe that there is a great deal happening but perhaps young people are not aware of the huge range of activities that is available for them.
“We are organising an event to bring together as many as possible of the organisations who are offering something for young people and to invite young people to come along and see what they can take part in.
“We also hope that the event will help organisations to work together to pool resources when funding is scarce.
“We are contacting all the organisations we know about, but would really like to hear from anyone offering activities for young people in Seaford aged 11 – 18.”
The event will be at Seaford Baptist Church, in Belgrave Road, 2pm-6 pm.
