Ewhurst Green, Cripps Corner & Staplecross village voice

Hilary Ganly’s next Watercolour Workshop is next weekend (Saturday, June 9), in St Mark’s Church Room in Staplecross. The theme this time is flower painting and Hilary will teach you the basic skills to enable you to go home with your masterpiece to impress your family.

There are limited places and you should ring by contacting Hilary on 01580-830704 to book a place. The cost is £40 for the day lasting from 10am until 4pm.

Also next week on Saturday at 2.00pm in the village hall, it is the Garden Society’s annual rose show and with the “feast and famine” weather so far this year, it will be interesting to see what can be exhibited. Last week my roses were just budding, now they are in full bloom – but will they hold out to show?

The organisers would like to thank Rother District Council and Ewhurst Parish Council for their sponsorship and all those involved in ensuring a Diamond Jubilee Celebration to remember, so local residents do turn up and enjoy the weekend.
