Exciting events are promised for Seaford this year

Seaford is gearing up for an exciting programme of events this year.

Seaford Town Council said a number of events will be taking place on its open spaces in 2015.

Coles Funfair will take place at Martello Fields from April 30 to May 4.

The Waifs and Strays Dog Show will also take place there from May 23 until August 22.

The circus will visit Martello Fields from May 28 until May 30 and the Rude Mechanical Theatre Co will drop into Crouch Gardens on June 6.

Seahaven Veterans and Armed Forces Day, with The Royal Society of St George will take place at Martello Fields on June 27 and a triathlon will take place on July 4.

The Blind Veterans Dash of Colour event visits on July 19 at Seaford Promenade and there will be a family fun day in Martello Fields on the same day.

Cancer Research’s sponsored walk is on July 26 and Motorfest run by Seaford Community Events Committee is on August 23.

Donkey Derby will return to Martello Fields on August 31.

A spokesman for the town council said: “We are grateful for the work of our many partners, volunteers and supporters for making sure these events take place.

“Last year we had thousands of people attending the many events we held, we hope to see even more this year and ask that everyone gets the dates in their diaries and supports the local community.”
