Exciting new era forRobertsbridge Choir

Robertsbridge Community Choir (RoCoCo) are to have a new leader in 2015.

Steph Vidler will be leading the choir from January following the decision by the two existing leaders – Sheila Brazier and Pam Muggeridge to step down after more than a decade.

Steph Vidler is a local musician and music teacher, who is a passionate ambassador of music for everyone. Primarily a pianist, she has taught in both secondary and primary schools and was director of a preparatory school for 8 years. She has led numerous choirs, orchestras and ensembles and amongst other musical projects, presently directs the Salehurst Primary School choir. She has over 20 years’ experience in music education.

She says “This is a hugely exciting opportunity for me. I believe strongly that everyone should have the chance to sing.

Music is such a brilliant way of bringing people together. I’m hoping to continue building on the great work set down by Sheila and Pam. I already have some wonderful songs to begin with; a little bit of everything.

“Choirs are really gaining in popularity, as more and more people are realising the complete joy that is gained by singing, as part of a group.”

RoCoCo is a friendly choir with a wide repertoire and no auditions Anyone who enjoys singing is welcome to come along.
