Exhibition for artist Rosenthal

THE late Stan Rosenthal will be remembered in a unique exhibition.

Stan, who had a gallery in Mount Street in Battle, passed away last December.

The renowned painter left a unique body of work, much of which goes on show in a selling retrospective at Pure Art, Milford Haven, this month.

The London-born artist was given his first drawing lesson at nine-years-old whilst staying in Battle as an evacuee.

Several years later, Stan’s style was dramatically shaped by a move to Pembrokeshire, where he had a studio gallery.

He remained in the area for a number of years before ill health eventually forced a move to the milder climate of the South East.

Pure Art’s owner Leslie Crascall said: “This is a rare opportunity to see, and maybe buy a Stan Rosenthal original.”

The show runs at Pure Art, 6 Vanguard House, Milford Marina, from tomorrow (Saturday) until July 20.
