Last month children from Loxwood Primary School went to ‘Little Canada’ in the Isle of Wight for a week of residential learning.

The week after their SATs tests, it was an ideal time to not only relax and re-group, but face up to the challenges of high ropes, abseiling, canoeing and climbing amongst many well-organised activities.

Pupil Anya said: “They made sure no-one ever got tired or bored, and everyone got involved with all the activities. It was great fun!”

Maisie added: “I really enjoyed it and by far my favourite activity was the tunnel trail, because it was in the total dark and fun to do as a team challenge.”

‘Little Canada’ is run by PGL, whose logo ‘to realise the inside, go outside’ reflected an action-packed week for the pupils, challenging their capabilities and encouraging their self-belief.

They returned home tired, muddy and exhilarated!
