Expensive jewellery stolen from Aldwick home

Hundreds of pounds worth of jewellery has been stolen from a house in Aldwick.

Police are asking witnesses to come forward following the burglary, which happened in Gossamer Lane sometime between 4.30pm and 4.50pm on Thursday, September 17 whilst the owner was in the back garden.

Items taken included earrings and a silver dish, with a total estimated value of around £280.

A man was seen cycling away from the property. He is described as white, in his mid to late teens, of medium build with brown hair and was wearing dark clothing.

Priority crime team investigator Thomas Carpenter said: “The suspect got into the house through an unlocked front door during daylight hours.

“We would like to speak with anyone who saw something suspicious in the area.”
