Expert advice on family history at Littlehampton Museum

FAMILY history enthusiasts, or those just beginning to trace their family tree, are invited to “ask the experts” in a special session at Littlehampton Museum on Saturday (September 22).

With interest in tracing our ancestors currently running high during the latest series of the BBC’s Who Do You Think You Are? programme, the museum, in Church Street, is holding two sessions with the Sussex Family History Group.

Visitors will be able to put their questions to members of the group and gain special access to its unique databases.

“We hope to provide all you need to delve deeper into your past!” said museum curator Juliet Nye.

Anyone who cannot make Saturday’s event, from 2-4.30pm, will be welcome at the same time on Saturday, October 13.

The sessions are being held as part of the museum’s major focus on family history this autumn, including a fascinating new exhibition, Family Matters, which continues until November 3 and will be featured in next week’s (September 27) Littlehampton Gazette.
