Extra trains for Bognor Regis

Two extra trains from Bognor Regis are included in a new timetable from Monday (May 19).

The additional Southern services for early-morning passengers will depart at 5.49am and 7.27am to Barnham. The current 5.49am train for Brighton will now leave six minutes later.

In addition, the 5.09pm service to Barnham is being extended to Littlehampton and will depart at 5.15pm. An extra train is also being put on heading towards Bognor. It will depart Barnham at 6.08pm.

Another gain for the town's rail users will be the extension of the 4.53pm Brighton to Littlehampton train westwards to Barnham and Bognor.

But the 8.19am Bognor to Littlehampton service is being scrapped. Travellers will have to catch the 8.13am to Barnham and change to a connecting service.

The alterations follow the extensive new timetable introduced last December. Southern says the latest changes result from comments by its customers.
