Face lift is planned for Peacehaven sports facility

The Multi User Games Area (MUGA) at Piddinghoe Sport Park in Peacehaven will be resurfaced within the next few months, according to Peacehaven Town Council.

New floodlights will also be installed.

The town council is currently assessing quotes for the work and will issue a contract.

When the MUGA has been improved it is hoped it will start to attract more groups to the site.

It is expected that work will start early next year on the Big Parks Project at Piddinghoe Sports Park and finish late in 2014.

The scheme also includes two football and sports pitches, provision of a gateway building with cafe and interpretation centre.

Community allotments, car parking facilities, a new skate park and a cycle track will also be included.
